Van insurance comes in three levels of cover, just like car insurance:
- Third party
- Third party, fire, & theft
- Comprehensive
Third party van insurance
- Third party van insurance is the minimum level of cover allowed by UK law. It covers the costs of damage to other vehicles and property, and injury to other drivers and pedestrians. It does not cover you, or your vehicle. This tends to be the most affordable premium.
Third party, fire, & theft van insurance
- Third party, fire, & theft van insurance covers the cost of damage to other vehicles and property, and injury to other drivers and pedestrians. In addition, it protects your van against the risk of fire and theft.
Comprehensive van insurance
- Comprehensive van insurance is the highest level of protection. It covers the cost of damage to your vehicle even if you are at fault. This includes the cost of damage to other vehicles and property and injuries to anyone involved in the accident.
Continuous Insurance Enforcement
- We advise that your vehicle should be insured and taxed at all times otherwise if not being driven you must hold an up to date Statutory Off-Road Notification (SORN) to verify that your vehicle is not being used.
- Please refer to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) for further information.
